James Zimmer - President of Threshold Games
James serves as Threshold’s President and has over 16 years of software engineering experience spanning entertainment, serious games, defense R&D, business applications, and training simulations for the US military. James has held engineering or management roles with Virtus Corporation, Michael Crichton's Timeline Entertainment, Research Triangle Institute, and Virtual Heroes. James was formally the Director of Engineering at Atomic Games and the Applications Development Manger at Virtual Heroes.
Phil Abbott - Chief Technical Officer of Threshold Games
Phil Abbott, Threshold’s CTO, brings considerable experience in both software and hardware design. As a Senior Engineer specializing in Artificial Intelligence, he has implemented numerous systems focused on user interaction with data driven simulations, ranging from web-based and portable data collection during live training, to full 3D embodied agents, and even casual games. Prior to Phil’s involvement in training, simulation and gaming at SAS Institute, RTI, Virtual Heroes and Destineer Studios, Phil designed computer hardware and software systems for such industry leaders as Hewlett Packard, NCR and Data General.
